PRICING & APPOINTMENTS

What are your rates and shop minimum?

Our shop minimum is $150 for very small, simple designs. Single-session tattoos are priced based on size, detail, color complexity, and technical difficulty. For large projects, we charge $200 per hour. Full-day sessions start at $800.

Important: Accurate pricing can only be provided during an in-person consultation after discussing your specific project with an artist. We cannot provide estimates over phone or email.

What qualifies as a same-day appointment?

Same-day appointments are available for small, simple tattoos requiring no drawing or consultation time. Examples include small text, basic symbols, or simple designs you bring printed and ready to go with exact placement decided.

To check same-day availability, call (617) 250-9903 when we open at noon. Note: Cover-ups, custom work, and any design requiring artist consultation must be scheduled in advance.

How do I schedule a consultation?

Start by submitting our online contact form with details about your tattoo idea. Each artist handles consultations differently, so we'll match you with the best artist for your project and provide specific booking instructions. Most consultations are scheduled 1-2 weeks in advance.

Do I need to fill out a contact form before booking?

Yes, unless you're booking a same-day appointment for simple work. The contact form helps us match you with the right artist and prepare for your consultation. After submitting, we'll contact you with next steps for scheduling.

Consultation Process

What should I bring to my consultation?

Bring reference images, sketches, or inspiration photos. If you don't have visual references, come with a clear description of your vision. Be prepared to place a deposit ($50-$200 depending on project scope) to secure your appointment. All deposits are non-refundable and apply toward your final tattoo cost.

What happens during a consultation?

Same-day appointments are available for small, simple tattoos requiring no drawing or consultation time. Examples include small text, basic symbols, or simple designs you bring printed and ready to go with exact placement decided.

To check same-day availability, call (617) 250-9903 when we open at noon. Note: Cover-ups, custom work, and any design requiring artist consultation must be scheduled in advance.

How far in advance should I book?

Consultation appointments: 1-2 weeks ahead. Tattoo appointments vary by artist and project complexity—some artists have availability within a week, others book 4-6 weeks out. Large projects may require multiple sessions scheduled months apart.

AGE & LEGAL REQUIREMENTS

What are the age requirements for tattoos?

You must be 18 years old with valid, government-issued photo ID. We comply with all Massachusetts state regulations and do not tattoo minors under any circumstances, even with parental consent.

What ID do you accept?

Valid driver's license, state ID, passport, or military ID. The ID must be current, not expired, and match the name on any paperwork or payment methods used.

HEALTH & SAFETY

What are your health and safety protocols?

We maintain strict compliance with Massachusetts Department of Public Health regulations, including:

Single-use, sterilized needles and equipment

Autoclave sterilization of reusable instruments

Bloodborne pathogen training for all artists

Proper sanitation and cross-contamination prevention

Regular health department inspections

Can I get tattooed if I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?

Following Massachusetts health guidelines and industry best practices, we do not tattoo pregnant or breastfeeding clients due to potential health risks and healing complications.

What if I'm taking medications or have health conditions?

Inform your artist about any medications, health conditions, or recent medical procedures during consultation. Some conditions or medications may affect healing or require postponing your tattoo. When in doubt, consult your healthcare provider first.

Can I get tattooed if I've been drinking or using substances?

Absolutely not. Massachusetts law and our studio policy strictly prohibit tattooing anyone under the influence of alcohol or any substances. This is for your safety and legal compliance.

DEPOSITS & PAYMENT

What deposit is required?

Deposits range from $50-$200 based on appointment length and project scope. All deposits are non-refundable but apply toward your final tattoo cost. Deposits secure your appointment time.

What happens if I need to reschedule or cancel?

We require 48 hours notice for changes. Late cancellations or no-shows result in deposit forfeiture. We understand emergencies happen—call us to discuss your situation.

What payment methods do you accept?

Cash (preferred), credit/debit cards, Venmo, and Zelle. Final payment is due at session completion. We do not offer payment plans for single sessions.

TATTOO CARE & FOLLOW-UP

What if my tattoo looks or feels unusual during healing?

Call us immediately at (617) 250-9903. Don't attempt self-treatment. Our experienced team can distinguish between normal healing and potential issues requiring professional attention.

Do you provide touch-ups?

Yes, we stand behind our work. Touch-ups for healing-related issues are typically provided at no charge within a reasonable timeframe. Contact us to discuss your specific situation.

Should I tip my tattoo artist?

Tips are greatly appreciated if you're satisfied with your experience. Industry standard is 15-20% of the tattoo cost, but any amount showing appreciation for quality work is welcomed.
